* Based on a light novel series by [Yumizuru Izuru] with illustrations by [Okiura]. At the IS Academy the students are training to become pilots for the Infinite Stratos (IS) weapon system. It so happens that this system can only be operated by females, with the exception of [Orimura Ichika].
